The artist
A series of sculptures and an artist’s video exploring the seductive, optimistic qualities of
‘bling.’ Borrowing the aesthetics and techniques of YouTube ‘DIY’ vloggers, the practice of
‘hand-blinging’ is re-imagined as a 21st century folk art, via unlikely ‘blinged out’ objects and
scenarios.
Bling! was exhibited at Bank Street Arts in April 2017.
