Blue-Green Bundled-Being

By  Liz Clifford 2024

This work is a floor based sculpture attached to the ceiling by a rope, at the end of which is a steel hook. This hook dangles like an ineffective anchor. The materials are salvaged and include bedding, washing line, rope, agricultural netting, and litter found in the countryside, all bound around a section of land drain. The work speaks of co-existing and belonging together amidst the detritus of the Anthropocene, the inhabitants of the blue-green bundled-being adrift and on-going within their entangled, interdependent futures.
