"Bracken Clusters "

By  Tim Pugh 2019
This very temporary intervention was created in Black Wood near Cleator Moor,West Cumbria in October 2019.The artwork is a purely decorative response to the intense colours experienced in British native woodlands as Autumn reaches its zenith.I was attracted to a mossy branch on the woodland floor and arranged small circular bracken frond clusters on the surface as a visual contrast. It was a very delicate arrangement that took a few hours to create and after photographing the artwork, all the work was undone in a matter of seconds as a slight breezy wisp of wind scattered the fronds .
