This performance developed from my research into embodied experience of underground spaces, specifically caves in North Yorkshire and Nenthead Mines in Cumbria. The event took the form of a performance lecture, concluding with a participatory ceremony. It involved movement, language, artefacts, video projection (including digitised Super8 film) and a soundscape, as well as deep contemplation, in which the audience was invited to participate. The performance took place at Northumbria University.
