'Collective Voices’ A commission from DASH and Creative Black Country, part of the OFF Site 9 commissions. Is silkscreen print on a scroll of Japanese paper. This paper at first glance appears delicate, almost fragile, but it’s surprisingly strong, echoing how disabled people are so often viewed. The narrative hand printed on the paper was donated from individuals like myself who identify as deaf, disabled or neurodivergent and wanted to share their lived experiences, from the barriers they face, to hopes for a more inclusive society. And many like myself find a positive and use this within their work.
