A Commotion on the pitch The ‘Subbuteo’ pieces are simply intended to remind us of the pleasure we can get from playing games, and how the ‘games’ are often just a starting point for a much more engaging exploration of our imaginations, when we start to move outside of the game rules. Process: The prints are created using combinations of drawing, painting, digital imaging, printmaking and photography. I use a lot of photography to capture the places, people and other subject matter for the work. I use different drawing media to create sketches, and a range of mixed media materials to create surfaces and textures. I‘ll then scan these initial studies, and combine and edit them on the computer, resulting in original works made and printed using digital technology.
