de fil en aiguille...snáth nasc installation was the outcome of four-month residency at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, Ireland (September-December 2003). The installation was exhibited at IMA in January 2004. The residency launched the artist project HERE AND THERE (2011-2003)
It was created in collaboration with individuals and groups from Dublin and Kilkenny. The project is based on social interaction and creative collaboration between artist and participants. The design of the installation was inspired by the Museum formal garden and Irish knitting. Floor piece: 4m x 4m x 10cm H. Wall piece: 209 video stills, 6cm x 4.5cm.
The techniques used was French knitting, four needle knitting, Irish Knitting stitches, wide range of yarns including plastic, cotton and wool, digital prints.
During the residency Dupré experimented with spool knitting with length of bicycle inner tubes and created an installation titled La Résidente.
