Young Thing is a detail of the wall installation titled Young Things. The installation was commissioned by Walsall Museum and Art Gallery (New Art Gallery, Walsall) for the exhibition Me and You (April-August 1998). The wall installation is an assemblage of glass and rubber casts conceived as strange hybrids that defy definition despite the conventional symbolic colours and materials associated with childhood. Viewers were invited to guess and imagine what sort of creatures they might be as well as their origin and identity. Young Things was part of the Collection of the New Art Gallery, Walsall.
