Deprecated Location

Whilst searching on the Internet for Serbian paprika, I attempted to open a link on a web site that trades in Eastern European food and instead of getting details about the product selected, I got the error ‘deprecated’ followed by a seemingly endless series of questions marks, numbers and characters. In the work Deprecated Location, a fraction of this relentless error script has been superimposed on a half-toned image of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, which in turn has been printed using the Serbian paprika that I did eventually manage to purchase. The geographic coordinates printed along the bottom of the image locate the position of the Latin Bridge where the Archduke was assassinated.
