Dialogues

By  Chris Wright 2017
This performative work explores the juncture of painting and photography. Over the weekend, Louise Garland and Chris A. Wright attempt the obliteration of a projected image, Magritte’s The Human Condition 1933, on stretched canvas using a tonal palette applied with rollers. The interaction between painting and photography, the physicality of painting involving the body as oppose to the mechanistic nature of photography, is the subject of ongoing dialogue which occurs through the performance.
