"Distance Barrier"

By  Tim Pugh 2021
The temporary Boulder painting was created at South Beach in West Cumbria in December 2020 in response to the Covid-19 epidemic.I used local ore sediment to replace the red background warning colour from shop displays in order to create my own sign.I replaced the arrows in between the couple that signified the need to keep two metres apart by positioning the people in between a solid rock line that was already on the boulder. This was to illustrate a barrier between people and families meeting over Xmas because of the restrictions put in place. The artwork soon faded away as the tide came in and erased the painting.
