The beach intervention was created in exasperated response to television advertising that reinforces gender stereotyping,constantly portraying women carrying out domestic duties in the kitchen.ln response,I changed the wording of a popular brand of bleach on a bottle found on the tideline.I found a broken toy doll which seems broken and battered by the relentless tide of conforming to stereotypical branding and juxtaposed it next to the bottle.The installation was placed inside the bars of a beach drain outlet in order to reinforce the idea of domestic confinement.
