'Double Act' was the culmination of a body of work that attempted to address the tension between reality and representation that exists within the nature of the artwork itself. Crudely produced stereotypes of cartoon slapstick props attempt to allude to the nature of the artwork as a stand-in for the real, and evoke the notion of a flawed duality between the two images.
