Drag/ged Objects

Items submitted by Elly Clarke as part of their PhD thesis in Art at Goldsmiths University of London, 2025, entitled ‘Is My Body Out of Date? The Drag of Physicality in the Digital Age’ – of which a printed-out copy is in this collection, to be read alongside the handling. 

These objects marked the beginning of the process of archiving the 15-year old drag project that is #Sergina, whilst offering a clean-hands handing of some of her well-worn drag objects. A newly set up Instagram account logged in on the collection’s phone [pictured] enables physically present archive visitors to post pictures directly to @thearchiveofserg1na.
