Ecos de la Selva

Made in response to a visit to the Amazon Rainforest, 'Ecos de la Selva' was an attempt to address the ecological, social and 'spiritual' issues of the rainforest. Involving all the senses, the installation was designed as an environment that the viewer would become an immediate and inescapable a part of. With only one person in the room at any time, the individual viewer was free to feel the dislocation between the room and the natural world, between our lives and comforts and the life of the natural world, and to reflect upon the relationship between the two.
