Ecstasy of Truth
By
Douglas Clark
2011 - 2012
This video installation consists of two videos in portrait form, synchronised so that they interact together.
The same performer is in both although to differentiate, in one screen she has her hair up and the other down. They reflect two sides of the same personality. This is not necessarily indicative of a schizophrenic disorder but how we question our own actions.
Although in projected form here, it works well when presented on large flat screen TVs in a gallery space. This work in collaboration with the performer, Marina Sossi.
