By
Stephen Broadbent
2002
Installed in Lincoln's City Square and spanning the River Witham, 'Empowerment' was built in 2002 to link the ideals of empowerment and the citizen. It takes its inspiration from the turbine blades, symbolic of the rich engineering heritage of Lincoln.
At its highest point the sculpture is 16m tall.
