Dewi Cary’s film/moving-image artwork creates an emotive experience. Directly placing the viewer into the artist’s own perspective by enabling them to embody him, Cary invites audiences to explore the world from his own perspective. Cary’s intention - to celebrate difference, proving that someone with depression and mental health problems can make exceptional art and be valued for their own creativity, rather than their mental health condition - shines through admirably.
