High Spring Tide

Through countless generations, the seafront has provided a place for leisure and time for reflection, with local communities changing the landscape of their environment in accordance with their perceptions of themselves and each other. High Spring Tide, is a coming together of Portsmouth residents who through Cary's artwork share their personal memories and experiences of the area. Participants recorded testimony is woven together with others to provide the soundscape of the artwork, accompanied by video footage of memorable locations situated along the seafront. High Spring Tide is supported by public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
