The work brings together my scientific interest in the natural environment and my Christian spirituality to bridge the gap between them two through materiality, colour, and organic shapes. Linking micro and macro world, through seeds and its symbolism, the work evokes nature's seasonal changes and processes of rebirth and growth. The explorative use of the wooden ground and elements of grain reappear throughout the painting to reinforce the link to natural materials. The paint is allowed to evoke the ecological forms and to create the subtle link between the physical and spiritual reality. Creating a form of prayerful quality, the peculiar quality that is tenuous yet powerful.
