Extinction

By  Ann Goddard 2011 - 2014

An installation of 50 miniature sculptures. The constructions are reminiscent of husks of former life forms, possibly those still unknown to science, and make reference to mass extinctions. The surface quality and twisted structure allude to their demise.

Materials: cotton fabric, thread, wax, wire

Technique: stitched and manipulated construction
