Fade to Black

Silk painting as scripting for the film installation Nuortabealli (Sami language for Nightshade). The method was used to emphasize loss of control, to provoke failure. Once the text snippets were written other drips on the silk was manipulated into patterns and color coordination's to emphasize a score. The work could then live on, separated from the film, as a print, script and painting/object at the same time.
