The Fallopian tube named after Gabrielle Fallopio (1523-62), Italian physician and surgeon, is where each potential human life starts. You, me everyone on this planet, yet 75% of these little clusters of cells never make it into the world. Just the fact that we survive to be born makes us very special.
The raw images that formed the basis of this exhibition were collected by passing a CD round a laboratory and asking scientists to donate an image. The images selected were donated by Dr Edita Sostaric, Dr Stephen Georgiou, Chris Bruce and the artist herself. The original images have been edited and manipulated by the artist and all relate to some aspect of the Fallopian tube.
