Dual screen video and audio installation, for 'On the Endless Here' an exhibition and collaborative project with Hull Geological Society in response to a series of field visits to Flamborough Head, East Yorkshire and conversations with geologists about their motivations, research processes and pleasure in understanding through 'reading' places.
The audio and video are simultaneous recordings of a transcription, in chalk, of a set of instructions about the practice of gathering sedimentary geological samples from a reference book belonging to one of the geologists I met during the project.
