I found a boot washed up on the tideline at South beach in West Cumbria and took it home and embossed the surface with cut out photocopies of coins glued onto the surface.I did this in response to my concerns about man made waste being discarded in the natural environment and in particular about manufacturing companies' over reliance on using cheap harmful toxic manmade materials in their products. This is at the expense of natural ecosystems and I amplified this concern by taking the boot back to the beach and photographed the artwork being overwhelmed by waves seemingly being poured into the boot. The boot was later retrieved and currently resides at home awaiting more interventional adventure.
