By  Tim Pugh 2017
The temporary artwork created in November 2017 is made from a shopping basket filled with plastic debris found on the tideline on a beach near Whitehaven,West Cumbria. The (very) temporary installation was installed on a rock on South beach near Whitehaven and was originally intended to be shown amidst other shopping baskets in the local branch of Tesco.Permission was denied for me to take a photograph of the proposed intervention.I wanted the artwork to make shoppers realise the extent of unnecessary plastic used in packing in supermarkets .Instead ,I sited the basket on a plinth like boulder and got soaked taking a series of pictures of the incoming tide crashing into the artwork.
