A sculptural installation featuring engraved glass, soil, urine, LED light bulbs, copper wire, iron nails, and cork, which was presented as part of my solo exhibition, The Grave in Full Vigour, at Generator Projects, Dundee (2024). Five glass jars are engraved with medieval representations of Jesus’ neo-vaginal side wound and text adapted from The Book of Job. They are filled with my urine whose electrolytes interact with the copper wire and iron nails to create enough of an electric charge to light an LED bulb.
