Flavour of Emotion
How can we hold space for conversation about our wellbeing?
What does emotion taste like?
Can we imagine the flavours that might change our mood?
When we reach for our favourite hot drinks, it might be through comfort, fatigue, enjoyment, habit, but underneath these simple reactions could be a more complex set of thought processes. It's well known that sweeter flavours have the ability to boost mood if only for a short while, whilst the ingredients such as chamomile are praised for their calming benefits.
Flavour of Emotion attempts to make conscious our thought processes for choosing, and in doing so allow audiences the chance to choose the flavour for their mood. The project also holds space for conversation about mood, mental health and wellbeing, making conscious choices about flavour and our feelings, allowing space to talk openly about our current mental state.
