For Realism

A site specific installation the shed in Oldknows Studio s part of the Reunion Exhibition. Materials: miniature buildings, human figures and real grass (a roll of turf on plastic cover) and stool placed within the garden shed beneath in situ lighting. The audience is invited to enter the shed and view the miniature buildings, the door can be closed for greater viewing privacy. The work uses the miniature, often acknowledged as a reference for nostalgia, day dreaming, the desire to desire and explores this within the setting of a garden shed, within the studio, within Oldknows Factory Building, Nottingham.
