Irene Rogan

MILLOM
Irene Rogan’s work involving environmental art, social activism is in parallel with her current interdisciplinary practice collaborating with astrophysicists, microbiologists, and new media artists to expand the dialogue between art and science.

Irene Rogan’s work explores materiality and the metaphysical world, embracing contradiction. Process, physicality, and location serve as visible manifestations of her engagement with the human condition and, more recently, notions of place. Her work often carries a theatrical presence, drawing the audience’s attention not only to transformation in progress but also to the traces of change—serving as a metaphor for the ‘divided self’ in lived experience and spiritual immanence.

Alongside her ongoing work in microscopy, ecology, social activism, documentary photography, drawing, and site-specific performance, her current research advances an interdisciplinary practice. She collaborates with astrophysicists, scientists, microbiologists, and new media artists to expand the dialogue between art and science.
