ink and graphite pencil on sculpted paper-clay 2020
This three-dimensional drawing is based on a pair of sarcophagi feet in the World Museum, Liverpool collection. It was made during the first UK lockdown of 2020. The inked surface was inspired by a carbonised wooden box from Pompeii and the silvery graphite drawing on top of the ink was inspired by dinosaur skin.
