During spring and early summer 2024, Lead Artists Paul Evans and Anthony Bennett worked alongside Prof Duncan Cameron and Dr Anne Cotton from the University of Manchester, creating artworks that draw attention to soil biodiversity whilst bringing the digital world into real life. The artworks are now installed in the gardens of The Whitworth Art Gallery Manchester.

Assisted by Ben PMA, Tom Bennett and Karen Bennett they presented a series of wonderful ‘World of Minecraft’ sculptures of UK wildflowers - and some intriguing tunnels into the soil - alongside a host of fun creative activities.

The artists are extremely grateful for the  help that they received in making this happen - not least to the wonderful postgraduate volunteers from Manchester University: Alejandro, Francis, Erika and Harry. Thanks also the brilliant team at The Whitworth Art Gallery for all their help and support.
