Framed Photographic Series

Limited Edition 1/30

Formations is a series of seven photographs in which Lucas performs the quarried rock, using a printed blanket that features a photograph taken in a disused quarry. During the making process, Lucas was interested in becoming enveloped by the landscape, as it embodied her and she it. Through this action, the blanket becomes a symbolic interface between the artist's body and the post-industrial landscape depicted.
