Gadfly Seven continues a series that improvises on the theme of the ancient mosaics that were based on the head of Medusa. The dynamic of the spirals varies in different lighting conditions and operates in the realm of unintended affects so how the painting appears to the viewer is open to interpretation. The underlying geometry is essentially done by hand and eye - no computer programme or robot involved.
