Gadfly Six

Gadfly Six is part of a series that abstracts ideas from mosaics that centre on the head of Medusa and which, it seems, were intended to have dizzying properties. The formal intention is to balance two variations of alternating spirals, one to do with colour and the other with tone, as ever, this appears different in different lighting conditions and also in different photographs.
