The work began as an intervention. The artist started collecting defunct light bulbs from around Chapter Arts Centre where she has her studio. The ordinary and everyday object is transformed through the process of gilding. Returned to their original fittings no longer able to emit light they instead reflect. As an installation of now 702 they offer a contemplative and seductive space to the viewer.
