A painting that brings together various elements seen during walks along the River Tone in Taunton, particularly the graffiti and scraffiti left by people under bridges, or along the side of bridges around Taunton. The declarations of love or hate becomes a mark of the time, a message left for others who will walk by, or have yet to see.
These marks act as symbols for our present, a note about what is going on through the minds of the young in these current days. Free speech, loves, hates, observations. Some shock, some endear, whilst others reveal truths we may not yet be ready to confront.
