39 pieces. 39 years. A body constructed piece by piece, not to fit a canon but to hold the truth of its own surface.
Made from dried orange peel, Habitus mirrors the texture of skin marked by lipoedema.
The title draws from the Latin term for a lived bodily condition, how the body carries time, experience, and history within its form.
The peel has been sealed to last longer but, in decades, it will decompose, return to soil. Our body too. This work is an act of arrival: to be bare, unadorned. A body, briefly, held in space.
