Hash Plate

By  Liz Clifford 2019

Liz Clifford

Fictional fossil hash plate cast in plaster from recreational vehicle parts found by the artist on Byway 745 in the Hampshire Hangers near Petersfield. The work reflects the geology of the chalk hillside which is in The South Downs National Park and the artist’s concerns around plastic waste and the battering of the landscape by recreational vehicle use on both a macro and micro level.
