“Herdus”.

By  Tim Pugh 2024

“Herdus” is a pebble/boulder and driftwood temporary installation created at South Beach,West Cumbria in June 2024.Spring storms provided abundant supplies of driftwood and pebbles to experiment with creating large scale interventions on the beach. I wanted to really upscale my work and I employed techniques I learned  from a dry stone wall builder many years ago.The artwork in a way ,assembled itself and I literally went with the flow, carefully selecting and judging which pebble piece interlocks together rather like a jigsaw puzzle. The installation stood impervious for a couple of days before finally succumbing to the elements.
