A total of 88 appliqued knitted polyester flags flying on eight lines in the High Street, Bedford. The emblems represent all current High Street shops (71 individual shops represented by 42 different emblems) and empty shops (11 plain flags). The text HIGHST appears on red flags in the centre. Commissioned for the Almanac Festival by Bedford Creative Arts, as part of Mary Portas Pilot.
