His Faults Were Few

By Theresa Easton 2015 - 2016
Letterpress & photo lithography, "His faults were few & accidental" refers to Thomas Turnbull, local dyer who in the 1800's developed a technique for dying wool blue. The quote has been selected from his epitaph in a local churchyard in Innerleithen, home to Robert Smails Printing Works, where Theresa Easton was artist in residence between September 2015- April 2016 as part of the 150 year celebration of the printing works.
