Within the historical space of the 19th Century Court room (still in use in the 1970s) of the Old Thirsk Courthouse the artist constructed, from books, buildings that resembled primitive huts (cells? shelters? watchtowers?), some with reading lights and sound installation. Visitors could enter them by crawling through passages and squeezing through openings.
