I.W. + 1

By  Cat Bagg 2010
Contrary to popular myth, most artists do not work in isolation. Ideas, research and materials are shared. This valentines exhibition cast a light on the intellectual love affair of contemporary art production, featuring pairs of artists whose works have an integral dialogue. The five artists from the I.W. exhibition at Hive/T1+2 Gallery were selected because of their close network and shared values. For this exhibition each one also chose a fellow artist whose work and friendship they felt had an inherent relationship to their own practice. Pairs of work were then displayed throughout the Whitechapel warehouse and courtyard.
