In the audience tonight - Lost for words

By  Jane Ostler 2013 - 2015

Jane Ostler

This work dwells on our partial view of reality, by using the depiction of a beam of light, like a film projectors, to focus on - nothing. We manage to avoid focussing on difficult problems by looking at only what we find palatable. The concept of infinity and the fact that so much is lost from being observed; gargantuan scale and infinitesimal insignificance. How to balance between the two? By using the space between abstraction and representation.
