Infinitely Pointing While Seated & Thinking of Greater Things

By  Robert Luzar 2008
Two-panel work: ink on graph paper, digital c-type print. This work was made in two stages. The first stage involved drawing on a sheet of A1 graph paper (used mainly for architectural designs), and drawing until the each part of the graph paper (each 1mm square) was covered with one point-like mark. The marks were made with a gesture of pointing the index finger with pen into the paper. The act of pointing deals with concepts of 'index'. The second stage of the drawing involved making a digital photograph of the drawing and, using computer software, inverting the drawing from positive to negative, white to black paper.
