Screened Envelope 1

By  Robert Luzar 2019
Emulsion 'typex' correction pen on found paper envelope, 50 x 34 cm, 2018. From a series called Screened Envelopes, which present used papers and envelopes that are overlaid with white emulsion 'typex'. 'Precarious labour' but also administration and management play into the contexts these works reflect. This reflection goes for so-called cognitive labour, or how 'thinking' can be exploited and alienated – paperwork, paperwork, paperwork! And possibly who has the right paper work (documents, reports, rights and regulations). It's basically pointing toward how so many people nowadays are put to work, and put themselves to work, mentally.
