Invocations

Invocation II. and I. (2017) HD prints on aluminium, 28 x 35cm and 24 x 30cm respectively. Digital prints that use photographs of ancient Egyptian relics, geometric patterns, as well as tessellated and abstracted text to draw on research into the rituals and practice of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The works further my interest in ciphers and the obfuscation of text. The written word is manipulated in an attempt to displace the standard meaning from letters and instead imbue the forms with symbolic visual potency.
