Of sign, sun and serpent

A print edition of 75 produced for Horizon at Roaming Room, London, UK. The work uses tessellated, repeated and distorted text to explore the alphabet as a series of symbols with particular meaning only to those informed with the knowledge to decode such visual signs. Through abstracting language, I hoped to generate a potential for formal symbolism guided by my research into the history of alchemy and its diverse influence on cultures from antiquity to the present.
