Just Paint

Enormous painted marks installed inside the window space at the Jubilee Library in Brighton. Then from the poutside, people were asked to contribute , to make their own marks, as response to what they see coming through fromn the inside.

A dialogue of mark making ensued, that of the artist and those of people passing by.

An incredible display of public artwork, created by the public and in a very public site. 

People were asked to photograph their work from the outside…then to go into the loibrary and see it from the other way round, conversing with the original painting made by the artist.

And of course, when the project was over, all that was left were the images from people and visitors.
